The best makeup products I own are from drugstore and I absolutely love them. I’ve sworn by these products since years so I’m sharing my review on why they are the best drugstore makeup products ever and why you should try them as well. Follow along on the list and let me know which ones you love the most or have tried in the comments below.
1. Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Pearlescent Pink is the perfect $2.99 dupe for the most beloved and famous $30 Nars Orgasm blush. I’ve been using the Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink blush a lost these days as it is easily blend-able and has good pigmentation. It add a nice rosy tint to your cheeks and stays for a long period of time. For $2.99, the packaging is good and you also a small applicator in the packaging which I never used. But be careful and never drop it because all it take is one fall, and the product breaks.
2. Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contouring Palette
The Wet n Wild – MegaGlo Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche and Caramel Toffee are the best powder contouring palettes for $4.99. The duo of highlighting and contouring powders having good pigmentation and with the overall size of the palette, you get a ton of product. It blends good and is easily buildable.
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick
The Maybelline – Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice for $5.49 and is the only lipstick I ever ran out off. Another shade I absolutely love is Nude Nuance. They have velvety and creamy finish that will make your lips look smooth. These matte lipsticks are better compared to other matte one’s I have used because of how smooth and non-drying they are once you apply them. Also, they have a sweet plastic like scent towards them and if you’re sensitive to cosmetics fragrances, you might not like them.
4. Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palette
The Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palette – Must Have Naturals has 6 neutral shades in the palette that go hand in hand with each other and are super pigmented. This $6.79 palette is perfect for every day looks! I hate the typical eyeshadow application brush you get with eyeshadows, but this palette comes with a dual ended pro-artistry brush which does a good job in blending the product.
5. Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter
The Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter for $9.99 consists of pearl pigments and metallic chrome sheen thats long lasting and blends well. You can also use this highlighter on top of your lips, on your brow bone to add some extra shine. It comes in 4 colors – Molten Peach, Molten Rose Gold, Molten Gold and Nikkie Tutorials Master Chrome 250.
6. Milani – Rose Powder Blush
The Milani Rose Powder Blush is originally for $8.99 and is on sale for $6.74. It is in the form of natural – finish powder in the shape of a rose which is available in both Matte and Shimmery shades that complement every skin tone. They are buildable and easily blend-able. One thing to remember though, a little goes long way with this blush.
7. Wet n Wild – Photo Focus Foundation
Wet n Wild – Photo Focus Foundation for $5.99 and might be the most praised drugstore foundation over the internet! According to Wet n Wild, this foundation is a skin-perfecting foundation that has been tested under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver photo ready makeup every time. It’s completely Matte and blends really good. But for people with dry skin like mine, you might want to mix it up with face oil since it dries out your skin ever more. Wet n Wild has done a good job with this foundation, but I got two complains with the overall product.
1 . If you’re sensitive to how cosmetics smell, you might not like this one. It has a strong chemical smell.
2. There are 20 shades in this foundation but Wet n Wild can definitely launch more shades.
8. Revlon Candid Foundation
Revlon has definitely upped there game by launching the Candid Foundation which costs $10.99 ! I tried this one in a local CVS store and was surprised to see how creamy and bendable like a moisturizer giving a medium coverage. I could literally rub it on my face with my fingers and not think about it getting creased. The Revlon website says that it consists of Anti-pollution, antioxidant, and anti-blue-light ingredients to protect your skin. It’s available in 31 colors so I think it’s worth the money you pay!
9. Neutrogena – Makeup removing wipes
If there is any one product that I carry around everywhere locally and on trips, it’s the Neutrogena Makeup Wipes for $7.99! I like how they smell and remove my makeup without leaving any residue. They are ultra soft and can be used for sensitive skin as well. I tried to use Equate Wipes before but they left a burning sensation so I switched back to these and swore by them since then!
10. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer
The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer for $9.99 is a concentrated concealer that helps covering up dark circles and fine lines around your eyes. It comes with a sponge applicator that you got to twist until you see the product and apply it directly with the sponge. It works well for me in hiding dark circles!
So those are the best drugstore products I’ve used over a period of time and still swear by!
